The laboratory research core & testing facility at OHRI offers a wide range of support to conduct research on dental caries, erosive tooth wear, dental abrasion, tooth cleaning, fluoride testing, and related areas. The main purpose of the facility is to provide the infrastructure to conduct high quality laboratory research that is in compliance with GLP regulations and guidelines.
Our services are manifold and include:
- Conduct of studies required for FDA and ADA approval of oral care products
- consulting on testing regimes
- protocol design and development
- execution of pilot & feasibility studies
- exploratory research
We also pride ourselves on our support of student research at OHRI. Hundreds of students – undergraduate, graduate (DDS), post-graduate (MSD, PhD), and visiting – as well as visiting scholars have been supported in their research endeavors at OHRI since its establishment.
