Ana Gossweiler, DDS, MSD
Dr. Ana Gossweiler is an Associate Research Professor and the Medical Dental Director of the Oral Health Research Institute (OHRI) at Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD). She has an Odontologist Degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a DDS and MDS degree in Periodontology from IUSD. She has expertise, leadership, and training in periodontal conditions, Oral Pathology, Caries Diagnosis, and Ozone Therapy. In the last 18 years, she has participated as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on several university, industry, and NIH-funded grants. As the Medical/Dental Director, she has been involved in developing various research projects, including in-situ caries models, caries detection, gingivitis, periodontitis, dry mouth, denture adhesive, plaque removal, and stomatitis studies. Dr. Gossweiler is involved with the Latino Community in the IU Indy campus and at IUSD. She is the director and co-creator of the basic dental Spanish elective course at IUSD, the chair of the Latine/x Faculty Staff Council, a Latinx/e Staff & Faculty Task Force member of the IU Indy campus.
