Why Board Certification Matters
American Board of Orofacial Pain
Founded in 1994 The American Board of Orofacial Pain was established in response to a need for a valid certification process for dentists practicing Orofacial Pain Management. The ABOP currently holds its examinations yearly in conjunction with the American Academy of Orofacial Pain’s Annual Conference. The American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP) is the only Orofacial Pain specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association. Their mission is to enhance the quality of care and service provided to the public through certification of dentists in the field of Orofacial Pain.
