The mission of the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry is to train ethical and competent orthodontists to:

We strive to maintain a diverse and internationally renowned faculty who teach multiple clinical techniques including lingual appliances, segmented arch mechanics, and dedicated implant anchorage mechanisms. Our multidisciplinary faculty are educationally qualified in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, mechanical engineering, epidemiology, medical genetics, physics, and management of temporomandibular disorders.
