American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research: Indiana Section

Promoting dental research

The Indiana Section of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IN-AADOCR), a division of the International Association for Dental Research, exists to promote the objectives and missions of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) on a local level. We seek to promote the advancement of research in all sciences pertaining to the oral cavity, its adjacent structures, and their relation to the body as a whole. We believe that utilization of the knowledge gained via research is fundamental for the promotion of better approaches to the prevention and treatment of oral diseases and other diseases of the head and neck. We work to improve communication and cooperation among all researchers and investigators in order to share knowledge gained via research for the benefit of all people.

IN-AADOCR membership

Membership in the IN-AADOCR is open to undergraduate dental students, dental hygiene students, dental assisting students, graduate students, faculty, and staff who are interested in dental science and dental research.

Members of the IN-AADOCR are part of a network of dental professionals that support the activities of the AADOCR. The IN-AADOCR is an integral sponsor of the annual Indiana University School of Dentistry Research Day event. We also sponsor or co-sponsor many scientific seminar presentations throughout the year and sponsor special awards during the Indiana Regional Science Fair at upper elementary, junior, and senior divisions.

The IN-AADOCR also sponsors or co-sponsors continuing dental education credits. All current IN-AADOCR members are eligible to receive continuing education credits for attendance at our sponsored events.
