Currently employed and possess one of the following qualifications: Certified Dental Assistant degree, dental assistant with at least two years hands-on dental assisting experience within the last five years.
An orientation and review session will be held on the first meeting along with a course entrance exam. The exam will be administered with both written and practical testing methods. Due to the advanced nature of this dental assisting course, an adequate knowledge of anatomy, terminology and instrumentation is essential for successful participation. It is mandatory to attend the first weekend in order to continue with the course. Failure to take or pass either entrance exam will result in a withdraw, and a $450.00 fee will be assessed to cover non-recoupable costs. The remaining $900.00 will be credited towards a future Expanded Functions (EFDA) program. Participants will have one year to complete the course. No refunds will be issued.
Attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Any missed instructional session will result in a “0” and may warrant a withdraw from the program. Make sure to visit the website for additional information.
