Pediatric Dentistry

Apply to the Graduate Pediatric Dentistry Program

If you are applying to the Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Master of Science in Dentistry degree program and are planning to major in pediatric dentistry, you must meet the admission requirements and follow the application process outlined on this page.

The Graduate Pediatric Dentistry Program participates in the American Dental Education Association Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS), a standardized application service, and the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (the Match), which provides a way for applicants to get positions in programs of their choice and for programs to get applicants of their choice.

The application deadline is October 1 each year.

To be eligible to apply to the program, you must:

  • Hold a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered. If you are an international student attending a US dental school, you are not eligible for this program.
  • Have a cumulative dental school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Clinical and/or research experience will strengthen your application.

Step 4: Submit supplemental materials to the School of Dentistry

All applicants

All applicants are required to provide a certification of disciplinary history from their dental school. Follow these steps to have your school submit the certification to the School of Dentistry;

  1. Download the certification of disciplinary history form.
  2. Fill out the candidate section.
  3. Send it to your dental school.

A school official must complete the disciplinary form and email the completed form to: dsgrad@iu.edu

After you’ve submitted your application

You will be notified when the School of Dentistry receives your application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed—it’s up to you to verify that your application is complete.

After applications are reviewed, selected applicants are invited to the school for interviews. Following the interview process, applicants who are admitted to the program receive acceptance letters and contracts.
