The Indiana University School of Dentistry and the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health jointly offer a dual degree program that allows you to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in about five years. Students typically begin working toward the M.P.H. during the third year of the D.D.S. program.

Admission requirements and application process
You must meet the admission requirements for both programs and apply to each separately. You should plan to apply to the M.P.H. program during the spring semester of your second year in the D.D.S. program.
When you apply to the M.P.H. program as a D.D.S. student, your Dental Admission Test (DAT) scores are used in lieu of GRE scores and the interview requirement is waived.
